Profile
I have worked as a Costume Maker and designer with many production companies including the BBC and Welsh National Opera. These opportunities have enabled me to gain valuable experience and skills. My roles have included designing costumes, making and maintaining them and dressing artists. In these roles I have often been required to work unsupervised, taking initiative and using my own creative ideas in order to solve a problem. I have experience on set. Most recently I have made costumes for Doctor Who and WNO.
Education
- BA/Hons Costume Construction for Stage and Screen – 2:1
This course enabled me to produce costumes for both theatre and film through study of historical costuming techniques, putting the costumes in context historically and socially. The course encouraged research, design and problem solving skills through practical work and written assignments.
