Back up the caravan in the stormy weather so of course here’s another octopus.

My husband and daughter saw this rico yarn and decided it would make a great octopus! Ricorumi lamé partie worked on 2.5mm crochet hook.

It’s REALLY shiny! I’ll have to do a video in daylight to see it properly.

Yep, it’s another octopus! This time a rainbow 🌈 one ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🩷🤍

My 10yo and 3yo immediately started arguing over it so I’ll just have to made another one!

Made with this DK acrylic rainbow yarn and these 6mm safety eyes.

We’re on holidays in Aberaeron at the moment, luckily having some lovely sunshine!

So obviously I’ve got to make a few octopuses!

Ive been having a go of this yarn holder today which has been awesome.

You pop the yarn onto the holder, and either have it around your wrist or, what I did was attach it to the chair next to me (my son didn’t mind too much!)

It was great! It worked really well and saved me doing what I usually do and have my yarn on the floor, rolling around in the grass picking up whatever is about! So my yarn stayed lovely and tidy and grass free.

I also used these 6mm safety eyes on all my octopuses 🐙

Flip Book of the Rings!

I was really lucky to be able to take part in Andymation’s Flipbook Fest 2025! This year Flipbook Fest has taken the form of creating a Flipbook version of Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring. Absolutely crazy!

All the clips were claimed super quick, but I eventually managed to get one after some had been unclaimed. My clip is 107 frames, 107 individual drawings! It’s of the fellowship entering the mines of Moria for the first time. One of my (many) favourite parts of the film.

BTW Did I mention I’m a massive LOTR nerd?!

They’re my absolute favourite films of all time. I went to see them all in the cinema when they came out and I don’t even know how many times I’ve watched them at home. Basically I love these films and as soon as I found out about this project I knew I’d have to do it! I literally didn’t even care what clip I had, I just wanted to be part of it.
